Syl’s blend of analytical and leadership experience and commitment to driving Lankin’s vision for growth result in a balanced approach to managing fiscal obligations and operational responsibility. Syl has built, overseen, and led the company’s capital management and finance strategy while driving operations through balanced and sustainable leadership. He implements and leads on all components of the company’s finance, valuation, analysis, and compliance while actively building and maintaining relationships with current and prospective investors. Prior to joining Lankin Investments, he served as CFO of a prominent high-rise development group, delivering and managing luxury purpose-built rental developments. He also served in senior finance roles with Skyline Apartment REIT, where he implemented and maintained the financial reporting, planning, and budgeting of a portfolio of 20,000+ residential units. Syl also served as Controller for Starlight Investment’s U.S. multi-family portfolio. He has an Honours Business Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and holds a Chartered Accountant designation with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.
